Gautam Shantilal Adani (born 24 June 1962) is an Indian billionaire industrialist and the chairman and founder of the Adani Group, a multinational conglomerate headquartered in Ahmedabad that specializes in port construction and operations in India. Priti Adani, Adani's wife, is the president of the Adani Foundation, which he founded.
In 1988, he created the Adani Group, which has since expanded into areas such as resources, logistics, energy, agriculture, defense, and aerospace. His family's net worth is estimated to be around US$64.9 billion as of May 19, 2021, according to Forbes. He is India's second richest man, a position he achieved in 2019. India Today rated him as the third most influential individual in India in 2019.
